Interview with
Kang Park

In September 2022 I did my first ever foreign language interview with Kang Park for Zurich Filmfestival. I was aware of the fact that Kang Park didn’t speak English and I certainly didn’t speak Korean, so shooting this interview was a big chance and also challenge.

Writer and director Kang Park delivers a thrilling story about the consequences of not following the strict rules of the Korean tradition called SEIRE. Against his wife's consent, Woo-Jin decides to attend his ex-wife's funeral. Thereupon, one misfortune after another follows and the family's happiness begins to falter.
