Do you also sometimes feel watched? «nur überwacht.» in English «surveilled» is a mockumentary that focuses on the video surveillance and its politics in the city of Zurich.
We have tried to reproduce a typical «10vor10» evening news show of the SRF (Swiss radio and television) in a slightly satirical way. We did not want to use on the nose humor to achieve this, but rather draw attention to the debate by making the report as professional but as less neutral as possible.
It was a big challenge to find all the surveillance cameras in the city of Zurich and capturing them in an aesthetic way. During our three day shoot in 2022, we often times were stopped by several securities and even the police once asked what we were doing. This showed us that even the simplest VJ reports take a lot of time and effort.

Um herauszufinden ob meine Theorie stimmt, plane ich ein Selbstexperiment: Schaffe ich es auf dem Weg zur Uni allen Überwachungskameras auszuweichen?
